(TO Till': EDITOR OK THE i'ATi.A MAID.) SIU, —I am a stranger in these parts, and don’t know Air Morgan, your glib eorresnondent, so I can't bo persona!. But my impression on readiuy bis mmscessarily long and silly effusion was that, never was a greater mistake made by the Otoia settlers iii not electing Mr E. R, Morgan as a representativo in the County Council. I’or, ■judging by this month’s effusions, wo will have mudi to put up with in the way ol; dry reading, owing to the smart of his late defeat. Ills verbosity is sickening ; and if there is no other way of stopping it, your readers will bo obliged to ask you to say for Air Morgan what lie wishes said, in the way of complaint or business, and thus save him from an exhibition of puny attempts at grandiloquent composition. If Air Morgan's speeches are lengthy and empty like his writings, then the Council, by bis non-election, are saved from a severe infliction, and my advice to the members of his Road Board is, to introduce the usual rules of dehate by which they will save many an afternoon from being “ consumed." It is a puzzle to not a low of your readers as to where all your capital from to set up the egotistical production. In conclusion, Air Editor, you may boro us with “ ghost yarns,” and “ love stories,” but have mercy, and save us from “Alorgan’s Epistles.” —I am, &c., A NEW CIIUAI. Ilawora, Jan. 2-1, 1877.
