ILL-TREATMENT OF A POLYNESIAN.
[from TilK TOOWOWRA OUUUN'ICUO.] A QuKENsr.AXD paper relates the following horrible story : —“ It would a]> pear that a number of Polynesians were on their way to the Mitchell district, and that one of them became seriously ill—so ill in fact that he could not travel. It was evident that he was dying’, and the man in charge was so impatient that he would imt wait for the poor creature to die outright, hut had a lade dug, mid tlie Polynesian roughly hurled before death had actually taken place.
