PEDIGREE : TOM KING is out of Litstone (imported from Tasmania), was also the dam of the celebrated horse Britrunia. Litstone was sold for ISO guineas at Tattersall's. Tom Kino was got by King Fergus, sire of Sir Colin Campbell and many other celebrated horses, King Fergus was got by Lord Byron, the property of Mr Proudfoot, ot l)umfriosliire, who gained the first prize of £lO at Annan, when I years old. Lord Byron was got hy old Prince Royal, who gained the first prize at Aberdeen, and also at Johnson. King Feigns was bred by Mr Muir, of Kircudbrigbtsbirc, out of his prize marc Clydesdale, which was bred by Mr Frame. King Fergus gained seven prizes in 18G0, and bad the first prize awarded to him ns being the best animal of the bor.se kind at the great show at Hamilton.
