I have numerous inquiries for store sheep. This description of stock were keenly competed for at the auction today, and fetched good juices. Cattle. —No stores were iu the yards ; fat cows made £8 2s (3d ; bullocks, from £8 I2s-Cd to £lO 7s Cd. Sheep. —B22 sheep were penned, and sold as follows :—Fat owes. 7s (Jd ; wethers 8s fid to Ss Pel; store sheep (mixed sexes), -Is Del to 5s ; wethers, (is 3d to 7s (Id. Houses. — The usual quantity were offered. Hacks brought from £4 15s to £ls ss. Exports.—sß head cattle, 370 .sheep. The Wallabi, with the bulk of the above, is now lying at the Heads, and will in all probability have to discharge owing to the continued rough weather, so that the .actual cxpoi ts for the fortnightended are—o head of cattle, and 100 sheep. Tuesday, Dec. 21, Our sale at Waitotara on the above date was largely attended, although there were not so manv-buyers present as at the last, owing, no doubt, to the inclement state of the weather. 320 head of cattle came forward, and were all disposed of at prices slightly lower than last month, 800 sheep were offered, but few sold. Horses still continue dull of sale. We ■quote : Cattle. —Cows with calves, in low condition. £5 per head ; 18 cows and 8 steers, in fresh condition, and some fat, brought £G 7s ■Cd ; one pen of young heifers, £4 15s ; steers and bullocks, £7 5s ;• dry cows, £t 17 s (id; yearlings to 15 months old, mixed sexes, £3 7s Cd. Sheep. —Store wethers, shorn, 7s to 8s; ewes and lambs, bought in at 8s Del.
