Dead Shot’s stock in the Nelson and Marlborough provinces are second to none in Now Zealand, as much as 300 guineas having been refused for a yearling filly by him out of Fidget—this being the filly of which u Augur’ writes in the ‘ Australasian’ of I3th May: “ This filly is by Dead Shot, out of Fidget, by Six’ Hercules, and, like many of the descendants of the last-named, she is a chcsnut, standing nearly 15 hands 2 inches.
