HARD UPON THE HUSBAND—IF TRUE.
An extraordinary divorce case lias just terminated, after a long hearing, in Dublin-—namely, Mr Spread Morgan against Lady Catherine Louisa Morgan, one of the daughters of the Earh of Mountcashel. Cruelty is alleged as well as adultery. She is accused of having beaten her husband with a whip, pulled his whiskers, thrown water into his bed, selling his clothes, flinging his shirts out of the windows, cutting Lis boots in pieces, spitting upon him, announcing to him that he was a cuckold, pointing a gun at him, and habitually using coarse language to him. The respondent denied everything charged against her. The jury, after an absence of less than five minutes, returned into Court with a verdict for Lady Morgan on all the issues. The result was received with applause, and on the appearance of Lady Morgan outside the Court she was received with great cheering by the crowd which had collected.
