A PETITION having been forwarded -Ol to me by more than three Electors of the 24th (Hawera) Road District, disputing the validity of the proceedings at a General Meeting of the Ratepayers held at Hawera on the 28th November ultimo and whereas it appears- doubtful whether the Commissioners have been legally elected : Now therefore, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred on me by the 20th Section of the above recited Ordinance, and in virtue of a- warrant issued to me under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, of Ist November ultimo, I declare the proceedings taken at the said meeting to be invalid, and I hereby convene a GENERAL MEETING of the Ratepayers to be held in the Block House, Hawera, at One o’clock p.m. on MONDAY, the 11th December, 1876.
