Superintendent's Office, New Plymouth, 20th May, 187 G. tN exercise of the authority given by _J_ an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Taranaki, intituled, “ The Municipal Police Ordinance, 1872,” I, Frederic _ Alonzo Carrington. Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby give notice and declare, that the undermentioned Footpaths shall henceforth be deemed and taken to bo Public Footpaths within the meaning of an Ordinance of the Lieutenant-Governor" of New Zealand, and of the Legislative Council thereof, intituled, “An Ordinance to provide for the protection of Footpaths in the Colony of New Zealand,’’ and shall be protected accordingly. Footpaths in this Town of Hawera. The Footpaths arc 14 feet wide, and start on the south side of the main road, at the north-west corner of section No. .11; then in a straight line, 35 chains long, to the north-east corner of section No. J4, and then in a southerly direction from the last-mentioned point in a straight line, G chains long, to the south side of the Bank of New South Wales* Town of Carlyle. The Footpaths on the north side of Leiccstor-strect, from Taranaki Road to Devon-street, of the width of ten leet. FRED. A. CARRINGTON, Superintendent.

Ail settled aches and pains arc remediable in the same manner. Piles,- Fistulas, and Excorations, —The, cure which this ointment effects in healing piles and fistulas of long standing, after 'they have resisted all other applications, have been so countless and so notorious throughout the world that any effort to give an adequately detailed statement of their number or character would be vain. It is sufficient to know that the Ointment has never proved inefficacious. In Disorders of the Kidneys, Stone and G ravel, the Ointment is a sovereign remedy if it be well rubbed twice a day into the small of the back, over the region of the kidneys, into which it will gradually penetrate, and in almost every ease give immediate relief. Whenever this Ointment has been once used it has established its own worth, and has again been eager! v sought for as the easiest and safest remedy in all disorders of the kidneys. I.ph, 2s. ‘Jd., 4s. Gd., 11s., 225., and 335. each. The 2s. 9d. size contains three, the 4s. Gd. size six, the 11s. size sixteen, the 22s size thirty-three, and the 335. size fifty-two times the quantity of a Is. Ijd. Box or Pot. The smallest Box of Pills contains four dozen ; and the smallest Pot of Ointment one ounce. Full printed directions are affixed to each Box and Pot, and can be had in any language, even in Turkish, Armenian, Aabic, Persian, or Chinese.
