THE MASONIC BALL.

It is with great pcasuro we have to chronicle the successof the ball given by the Freemasons of Ixtea on Friday evening last. The attcnence was numerous, guests corning by irritation from Wanganui and long distance from-the north ; and if report and or observations speak truly, all presentthoraghly enjoyed themselves. The decoratins of the room was really grand and impsing, for which all credit is due to Dr. Wlker, it being under his direction. A mapificent supper was spread by the able ail efficient efforts of Messrs Dale and Hawood, to which all did justice. The muc was capital, Mr King, of Wanganui, jesiding at the piano, who was occasionally relieved by a lady visitor from the sare place, Mr King accompanying with jit violin. We can only say that the Pta Masons are deserving of great ccdt for the very enjoyable evening tlisball afforded the public. Dancing was ept up with the greatest spirit until th small hours of morning.
