HOUSE OF EEPEKSENTATIVES. Wellington', September 19. Tlic House resumed at 7.30. Mr Whitaker moved the second reading of the Indemnity Bill briefly. Mr Stout after condemning Bill, and action of the Ministers in regard to it, hoped the Opposition would all leave the House before the division and allow Ministers to have it their own way. Sir Macandrcw agreed with Mr Stout. Grey and Rees also denounced the proceeding altogether. As soon as Grey finished, majority of Opposition members including Grey, Stout, Macandrcw, B. Wood, left the Chamber. A sort of personal debate took place. Explanations and counter explanations followed as to who was responsible for the recent talking against time—the Opposition blaming the Ministry, and the Ministry blaming the Opposition. E. Wood moved that the Bill be read that day six months. When a division was taken on the second reading, only two Opposition members Fisher, and Wood, who acted as tellers were present. The division was 37 against 2. The Bill was then read a third time and passed. The House adjourned at. 11.30 till the usual hour next day-
