Such documents must, after that date, be written upon paper previously impressed at the Head office, and cannot bo stamped after the execution thereof. It is requested, therefore, that Merchants, Shipping Agents, and others concerned, will, without delay, forward to this office, such forms as they may require to he impressed, accompanied hy the usual, requisition and receipt of the Bank of New Zealand for the ttmouut, ess the authorized discount; Information may be obtained .at any Stamp Office. The provisions of the Act bearing on this point are as follow: “ 47. Except where express provision is made to the contrary, all duties are to be denoted by impressed stamps only.” “ GA (H) A Bill of Lading includes also any receipt given iu lieu thereof from the muster,- mate, owner, or agent of any vessel, and is not to bo stamped after the execution thereof. ( A)- Every person who makes or executes any Bill of Lading not duly stamped siia 11 forfeit a sum not exceeding £50.” SCHEDULE. l)n,ii of Lading for any goods,- merchandise, or effects to be carried to any place beyond the boundaries of Hie colony : For every such Bill of Lading or copy thereof, Is.
