Patea Mail Office, Tuesday Evening. Mb W. Dale reportshavingsold at Hawera on the 2nd hist., the lease of a number of sections, in that township, on account of the Hawera Town Board. The sections consisted of blocks from 5 to 10 acres, I-acre building allotments, and the Recreation reserve of 24 acres. The blocks suitable for paddocks*fetched from £1 to £1 7s per acre per annum, for 14 years ; building sites, £1 per section per annum for 21 years, and the Recreation reserve realised 7s per acre per annum. The last named is subject to certain restrictions, different from the other reserves. Taking the sale on a whole, the prices realised are very' satisfactory. Afterwards he sold at Mr Furlong’s store an assortment of merchandise realising satisfactory prices.
