THE aboye Horse will travel between Hawera and Manutahi, and will be at the latter place on Mondays and Tuesdays, and at Hawera the remainder of the week. * PEDIGREE : TOM KING- is out of Litstone (imported from Tasmania), was also the dam of the celebrated horse Britannia. Litstone was sold for 180 guineas at Tattersall’s. Tom King was got by King Fergus, sire of Sir Colin Campbell and many other celebrated horses. King Fergus was got by Lord Byron, the property of Mr Rroudfoot, of Dumfricsliire, who gained the first prize of £4O at Annan, when 4 years old. Lord Byron was got by old Prince Royal, who gained the first prize at Aberdeen, and also at Johnson. King Fergus was bred by Mr Muir, of Kireudbrightshire, out of his prize mare Clydesdale, which was bred by Mr Frame, King Fergus gained seven prizes in 1860, and had the first prize awarded to him as being the best animal of the horse kind at the great show at Hamilton.
