Burner. —Oil came forward, and made : T’estr we*ho-s, from 12s (hi to 13a Gd ; medium,- -its to 11s Gd ; .store wethers, 10s. ■ llousv.s. —A few sold from £5 15s to £25, with Utile demand, Extouts.—7o head cattle, 1,398 sheep, and 18 pigs. GEORGE A. HURLEY'S WEEKLY ■ REPORT. . .• , . Wanganui, August 17. Mr. George A, Hurley reports:-—The grain market hat been dull the hut week. Utils i wholesale) I quote at 2s, lid for prune IV. a]; Inferior, no, demand; wheat, medium, ‘4s Oil; milling, 5s ; maize, 4s(lour, same as last quotations ; pollard, 7s Gd ; ground barley, Ds ; bran, 7s ; oatmeal, £ls. Demand for good seed potatoes continues brisk. Butter-is still a drug in ‘the market. Small shipments have been ,made to Auckland and Onnedin, but prices are very low.
