Itisreported at Bombay tlutthcKhedive is unfriendly to the new Sultan of Turkey. On the evening of the 15th June, whilst the Ministers were assembled in the Council of Midat Pasha, the new Grand Vizier, a recently dismissed officer of the Turkish Government having entered the Council Chamber armed with a revolver, suddenly shot dead Hassien Pasha and Each id Pasha, the Ministers for War and Foreign Affairs. He also wounded Kaizerli, the Minister of Marino, besides killing an Aide-de-camp of the Grand Vizier, and a servant of Midat. The assassin has been arrested and hanged. At the Champion boat race, Trickctt beat Saddler by four boat’s lengths. Time 24mins. 36secs. Great excitement prevailed.
