COMMERCIAL.
Patka Mail Office, Tuesday Evening. Mr W. Dale reports having hold a sale of cross-bred sheep, at Mokoia, on Friday last, on account of J. 11. Lysaght, Esq. About 1,100 were quitted at the following prices : —Wethers, 8s to 12s ; old ewes, Gs; lambs, 5s 3d; culls, 3s 3d. The weather was very inclement, and consequently spoilt the attendance of buyers. Un the following day, at Keteiuarae, held a clearing-out sale, on account of Mr J. Southby, satisfactory prices being realised. At Hawera, on the 2(sth instant, the lease of 50 acres laud for 12 months fetched 4118 10s, and one quarter-acre freehold in that township realised £l2.
