[I’ER PRESS AGENCY.] HOUSE OF 11 EPPES ENT AT IVES. Wellington, June 20. After the meeting on Saturday, Ministers notified those of their supporters who had requested them not to resign, that the business of the country could not be gone dit With them. Until the House distinctly afilrnied there Was no reason why a Crown Grant for Piako Swamp should not be Issued; At a meeting'yestei’da}' thirty-niile members wore present, and Unanimously adopted a resolution that the Government should carry out the Piako arrangement. Eleven others not present promised support, and probably two or three others will do So, No member of the Ministry was present. The Government will, on the meeting of the House to-morrow (to-day), move a resolution to the above effect, and if carried, will remain in office. Sir G. Grey called a meeting of the Opposition yesterday evening. Only a few were present, and it was decided hot to make these land disputes party questions.
