IS IT SO?
(to the editor of the patea mail.) Sib,—l see by a paragraph in the Wanganui Herald of the 15th, that a deduction lias been made from the salary of each member of the Civil Service o cover the defalcation of a postmaster. Is that the reason why members of the service have to take to keeping tradesmen’s books, which is at present being done in Carlyle. I am, &c., ENQUIRER. Carlyle, Jnn i 16,1876.
