TOWN BOARD IMPROVEMENTS.
(TO THE EDITOR OF TiiK PATEA MAIL.) Sir,—Now that a new Town Board are elected, I hope they will look out and see that the money is properly spent. There are good footpaths and roads in the upper part of the town, but where the improvements aie wanted most seem to be left out. ■ The road to Milroy’s wharf is very bad ; it is dangerous for a load to go there, ami the lirst thing the road commissioners ought to do is to make a good road through tiio swamp to Milroy’s wharf. It would not cost more than two hundred pounds, and would be a great benefit to all the town. After that is done the road from Beamish’s could be improved, and then the upper part of the town, but first make the road to Milroy’s wharf. I am, &c., CARTER. Patea, June 12, 1870.
