POII T O F FAT EA. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Tongariro, from Wanganui, daily. TIME OF HIGH WATER. This Day—4.4o a.m., 5.20 p in. Sunday—s.3o a.m., 0.20 p.m. Monday—7.lo a.in., 8.44 p.m. Tuesday-—8.20 a.m., 0.40 p.m. Thu long expected Janet Grey will not came here this trip after all. After putting in at Wanganui, she proceeded, when she could get out of that por£, to Opnnake to land 3000 feet of timber for the hotel there. When so engaged, Honi Piliama came down and bought the remainder ■of the cargo, undertaking to put on board a load of pigs. These are now probably shipped, and will be taken to Hokitika. The vessel will load timber there again, and then make another attempt to reach Patea, but it will probably be some time before she can arrive. Tins will greatly disappoint many who are anxiously waiting for timb l r to build with, and will no doubt enhance considerably tho value of that at present in the market. The Blackwall is still alongside the wharf, the late exceptionally low tides preventing her from going out. It is probable however, that she will be released in a day or two. In the meantime, her four-footed passengers have been discharged, *and are now enjoying themselves in a paddock, till tho time comes for their trip.
