THE Monntainroad being-now opcnedfor Stock and other traffic, persons will find it to their advantage to take this 'route in preference to the coach road, as it saves a distance in travelling of about 40 miles. The road is formed for half the s distance, bridges are constructed over the principal streams, and excellent approaches arc made to the different creeks, so that travelling is now comparatively uasy. The distance by the coach road from Patea to New Plymouth is 100 miles ; by way of Inglewood, GO miles.
