Prices given were ; Dairy cows and heifers, iff to £l3 ; fat cattle, 27s (Idto 32s (id the 100 lbs.; fat wethers, till to JVpl ; ewes, from 2-ld the lb ; aged ewes, 7s Gd to Pis each. —Messrs limiter and Nolan report that there was a very large muster of cattle at Newmarket on the 2Hth March. The. dairy stock was not so good as for the hint week or two, and several were wittidrawn for higher rates. A good many of the stores were coarse, exhibiting neglect in the breeding, and consequently were not so keenly comneted for ; as were a few pens of well-bred. The fat beasts with few exceptions were good, and the bidding was brisk. We quote dairy cows, ,c<) to £l2 ; yearlings, from £1 17s (id to ,P3 5s ; 2-year-olds, from £3 15s ; 3-year-old sleers, £5 5s to P(5 7s Gd. Beef, from 27s Gd to 35a per 100 lbs.
