Fate a Mail Office, Tuesday Evening. William Cowern reports having held an important, sale of stuck at Kakaramea on Saturday, the 18th inst. The attendance was good, willi- fair competition. Two years and upwards, mixed, in good condition, £5 ; 2 years and under, mixed, £4 Is ; fairly bred yearlings, £o os ; fullgrown steers, £7 7s fid ; cows with calves (all ages), £4 15s I well-bred heifer sold at £8 os ; fat steers, 3 years and upwards, £8 10s ; fat cows, £O. I quote beef about 22s fid ; 1(57 head were yarded, and all sold. The fat stock was withdrawn from sale, hut were sold privately afterwards. One draught mare, in foal, and with ioal at side by Youiif Wellington, £4O 10s ; 1 saddle back,- £7 15s. Several horses were withdrawn.
