The Pacific mail steamer Australian arrived at Melbourne to-day, 42 days from London. Sue/ mail steamer arrived at Adelaide this morning; the steamer and passengers are detained in quarantine, owing to one case of small-pox. One of the Emu Flat murderers have been arrested. In the Assembly last night the Minister of Lands called another member a blackguard ; the latter accused the Minister of huing beastly drunk in the House. A! FLBOUKKK. March 2. Prisoner named Bradley, sentenced to 14 years, escaped from Penlridge, and has not been recaptured. Further evidence substantiates charges of tyranny in Alining Department. It has transpired that quantities of woollen refuse, more or less saturated with oil, were brought recently in a shipment from Kngland. EUROPEAN MEWS. LONDON. February 29. Don Carlos has entered France. The war is over. March 1. The Glenara is a total wreck on Black Gang Chine. All saved.
