Sir, —Tlie Hawera Variety Troupe had not the slightest intention of offending the members of the Wesleyan Church in offering a portion of the proceeds of their entertainment to that body, ami was unaware that there would be the slightest objection raised to their excepting a trilling contribution derived from an evening’s entertainment anymore than from the proceeds received irom a bazaa-i.
