MEETING OF THE PATEA EDUCATION HOARD.

The TAluoation Board mot on Tuesday hist, the 4th instant, all the members being present. The minutes of the last meeting were read- and continued. On the motion of Mr Milroy, seconded by Mr Furlong, it was resolved to notify that the school at Kakaramea will bo opened for full time (for the present) on tho lUtb of January, and at Manulahi as fittings are completed. The school to be opened in the Town Hall, Kakaramea, was originally proposed, but an amendment by Mr .Milroy, seconded by .Mr Furlong, “ That the school bo opened in the cottage at Kakaramea, the property of the Board,” was carried. With reference to Mr Dyer's engagement. as master at Carlyle, it was renewed at the present, salary, until bis next examination for a higher class ol: ceitilieate. An application mtdelyr Mr G.
