PATEA WEST ROAD BOARD.
The regular monthly meeting of the above Board, was held at the Board s office, Carlyle, on Monday, the 13th inst. Present —Messrs E. 11. Morgan (Chairman), Christie, Cane, Hunter, and Wilson. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. co-rtriKsroxDEXCE. A, letter from the Engineer was read, stating that he had inspected the works on Ball road, and found that the embankment was not properly rounded up. Proposed by Mr Christie, .seconded by Mr Hunter,. “That the Chairman inform the contractors that must finish the work in a pjoper manner.” —Carried. Letters were read from Messrs Corrigan and Robertson, /asking the Board to expend some money in making ioaus ■ r g their places'. Resolved lhat the applications no over till the next meeting o-f the Board. From Mr Marchant, requesting the Board to repair G arsed road. Mr Hunter proposed, and Mr Ganc seconded, “ That the sum of thill} pounds be expended on the same."
