The attendance was laigo. hut bidding on the whole was slack : the stock offered were of .indifferent quality, being mostly cows and yearlings, in low condition ; the. beef was withdrawn, the price; ottered not being' considered satisfactory. Cattle,—l3l head of cattle were sold at the following rates : —Yearlings made from .£2 10s to £2 2s (Id ; cows, from £2 12s (id to £4 <?s ; mixed stores, from £2 to £5 ; wellbred heifers, from £1 10s to £8 10.; young bulls, from £2 to £!) l()s. Sheep.—Wethers of good quality made 17s (Id. Horses.— Draught, from £2O to £22 ; hacks, £l4 15s,
