Ist.— Produce ot 40 sovs. Distance, H miles ; weight for age ; open to all horses not having run for public money at the time of entry. Entrance 3 sovs. 2nd.— Patea District Cur of 50 sovs. Entrances, 4 sovs; Distance, 2 miles ; •weight for ago; open to all comers. 3rd.— Scurry, 10 sovs. Post entries, 1 sov.; weight for age ; winner to be sold for 25 sovs, surplus to go to the Jockey Club fund. 4th.— Ladies Purse, 4o sovs. Distance, miles ; welter weights ; gentlemen riders. Entrance, 3 rovs. SECOND DAY. Ist. —TTcrddb Race, 40 sovs. Entrances, 3 sovs; distance, 2 miles, over 8 flights of ordinary sliocp hurdles, 3ft Din in height; welter weights. 2nd.— Hack Hurdle Race of 10 sovs. Entrance, 1 sov.; distance, once round the course, over 5 flights of ordinary sheep hurdles, 3ft Oin in height; weight for age ; open to all horses that have not run for a stake of 10 sovs. or over. 3rd.— Jockey Club Handicap, 75 sovs, added to a sweep of 4 sovs, and 2 sovs nomination ; distance, miles. Entries closed with 14 nominations. Weights to be declared on Saturday, the 16th of October. Acceptances to be sent in before 6 p.m. on Thursday, the 28th of October. 4th.— Forced Handicap for winning Horses, 25sovs; distance, 1 mile and a distance; entrances for winner, 2 sovs; losing horses allowed to enter at halfprice. In the event of a walk over, only one half of the stakes will be paid. Date of general entries Ist of November, at 7 o’clock p.m. All protests must bo made in writing, within a quarter of an hour of the completion of the race, accompanied by 1 sov, to be forfeited if the protest is deemed frivolous. In all eases of dispute, the decision of the Stewards to be final. {jgf Horses having previously run for advertised money are not eligible for hack racing. , Second horse to save its stake in all races except in the Scurry and Hack Hurdle Race.
