Path a Mail Office. Tuesday Evening. Wm. Dale, auctioneer, reports having sold privately, sections No. 383. ii.S4.and 523, containing 2(i() acres, near Manutalii, to H. 8. Peacock, Esq., at the rate of £8 5s per acre. The land is fenced and partly in grass, but (here are no buildings upon the property ; ho also reports that he is constantly having inquiries for land in this district, but is unable to supply the demand. W. Cowekn reports having sold at Kctemaiac on October 8, sawn timber. Hoards averaging 15s Pd : scantling. 13s SKI per 100 : paling-*, i.3s per 100 ; shingles. 1 Is Pd per 100. A feu" unbroken horses from £4 to £5 10s ; 1 good serviceable hack, £lB 10s. The attendance was moderate. In consequence of a steam mill baring started,the price of timber has fallen considerably.
