Sib, —In your columns of to-day I notici “ Ratepayer ” seems wry solicitous respecting the maimer in which th : monies have been spent by the B »-ml during tinpast year. Was ‘•Ratepayer” at tingeneral mooting on Monday last ? If he ■was, was not the items sufficiently explicit ? And, if not, why did he not say !0 at the time? Again, if ho was not at Hie meeting, ih m I say he ahnuld have been. As to the publication previous to £he meeting, if “ Ratepayer ” was to make we 1 acquainted with the Act lie would find more than one clause which is Very difficult of being curried out in its ’integrity. In conclusion I shall bo most happy to satisfy “ Ratepayer's ” curiosity by all means in my power, as there is no item in tha accounts which needs privacy.
