Warrengatc cut out the running at a hot peace, but Butcher Boy. splendidly ridden by Mr Nicholson, of Kakaramca. stuck to him gamely, and dually shook him off. when Gazelle, ridden by Campion. came to the front, and eluillenged the Butcher, but the latter responding gamely to the call made on him. Avon*a splendid race by a neck. Islcsman Avas behind all the way. A lot of money changed hands, the Auckland division piling it on fslesman. The Maiden was also a splendidly contested race. Flora boating Barbara by a short length. Tichborne AvaA Avel.l up for lavo miles, when Avant of condition put him out of it. No accidents of a serious nature.
