Advance Fatea* peterT bell CONGRATULATES the settlers on the marked progress of these important districts extending from Waingongora to Waitotara, as indicated in the addition to our Colonial Press of their spirited little bi-weekly journal, to be henceforth known as the Patea Mail. VICTORIA HOUSE Will occupy this allotted space as an advertising medium, and P. Bell assures the readers of the Mail, especially those heads of families and others who desire to study economy, that his column will amply repay a careful perusal, it being universally conceded, not only in WANGANUI, But throughout these districts, that Victoria House not only has attained to and maintains a first position as the leading Emporium of Fashion, Variety, and Quality, but also has earned a wide-spread reputation as being—what to buyers is of the first importance—unrivalled for cheapness, thus combining all the essentials of DRAPERY, CLOTHING, TAILORING, MILLINERY, DRESSMAKING, AND GENERAL OUTFITTING ESTABLISHMENT. P. Bell has much pleasure in announcing that having secured the services of first-class buyers in the home and foreign markets, he is now in a position to place a class of goods in the market which for quality and price will defy competition, All intermediate profits being saved buyers at Victoria House can now be supplied at rates which will bear favourable comparison with any of the larger wholesale houses in the colony. The Millinery Department is also under the able and efficient management of the lady who has also made to herself a name as a EIRST-CLASS MILLINER. THE TAILORING DEPARTMENT Is a comparatively new branch in the extended business operations of Victoria House, and as P. Bell contemplates issuing special circular for this department, he would only say that he has been exceedingly fortunate in securing the services of a first-class cutter, who comes here with unexceptional references, after eighteen years’ experience in sonic of the best West End London Houses. THE MEN’S CLOTHING DEPARTMENT Has P. Bell’s personal attention, and as the clothing, specially made for the Victoria House, is now so widely known, it is scarcely necessary to say that for fit; style, and workmanship, P: Bell’s Clothing, is equal, if not superior, to bespoke garments generally. The greatest attention and care bestowed on the execution of country orders, and customers may rely on receiving parcels carefully packed by return mail. Patterns sent free per post.
