Time for commencing the CONTRACTS for Gravelling and Forming in the Hawera and Patea districts will date from a notice to be given to successful tenderers, instead of from date of acceptance of tenders, as in specifications. TENDERS will be received at this office until 4 p.m. of MONDAY, 21st June next, for FORMING 88 chains (more or less) from Waihi Road, through Township of Hawera, to Main Road. Plans and specifications may be seen at this office and at the Post Office, Hawera, where all information may be obtained. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. O. A SERIES of LAND SALES is being hold in the Province of Taranaki under the Waste Lands Board of the Province, the Lands offered being Town and Rural Allotments, the latter varying in area from 20 to 320 acres, and the conditions of the sale being by DEFERRED PAYMENTS extended over Ten Years, by Auction, for CASH ; and by FREE SELECTION for CASH. The District s traversed by the Waitara-Wanganui Railway, now in course of construction, and which is expected to be completed as far as Inglewood—the Township at the commencement of the District—in about eighteen months. The Land is well adapted to Working Settlers of Small Capital, as_ it is easily accessible, has abundance of timber for building, fencing, feul, and shelter ; never failing streams of water, and a very productive soil. A good Main Road traverses the District so far as it is yet open for purchase, and the District Roads will also be opened up by the Provincial Government, so as to make each allotment accessible from the Main Line of Railway. AS I intend CLOSING my BUSINESS at Carlyle, with the exception of a small line of Drapery, which will be disposed of for Cash during the present month, I have to request that all outstanding Accounts be Settled before the 20th June, Persons having Library Books in their possession, whether taken direct or borrowed from others, are requested to return them immediately.
