TRESS AGEXC'Y. WELLINGTON. May 15, Gazelle Extraordinary issued to-day, prorogues Parliament from 31st May to 13th June. May 17. Died, after a, long illness, Charles Boyntan Borlasc, Provincial Solicitor, late Mayor of city, and several years M.H.R. for same. May 18. The bricklayers of Wellington, after due deliberation, have resolved for the future to refuse all piece-work, and only to recognise day work, the latter to be paid for at the rate of 14s per day of eight hours. .Borlase was buried this afternoon. The Superintendent and members of the Executive were present. Court of Appeal adjourned, to enable judges to attend. All the members of the legal profession followed. The attendance of the general public was large. AUCKLAND. May 18. Arrived—Dunedin, ship, 96 days from London, with, about 250 immigrants, all w 11. Three cases of typhoid fever occurred on the voyage. One of the immigrants named Btcviuson and two infants died. POUT CHALMERS. May 15.
