Business Notices. PATEA STORE. S. TAPE IN BEGS most respectfully to thank the residents of Patea, Whenuakura, Kakaramoa, Hawera, and surrounding districts for the liberal support accorded to the late firm of Taplin & Muir, and to inform thorn that in future the business at Patea will be conducted by him, with the usual care and attention hitherto displayed. S. T. has much pleasure in intimating to the residents of the various districts that he has determined to RELINQUISH THE BOOT AND SHOE, AND SADDLERY TRADE, and thus afford his numerous customers an opportunity of obtaining REAL BARGAINS, as well as a Supply of the best make and most desirable goods, which have been well and carefully selected to suit the district. This is a bona fide sale, and this Department will be CLEARED OUT REGARDLESS OF COST, FOR CASH. All purchases over 255, will be allowed Five ter Cent. DRAPERY DEPARTMENT. The Department will be found most replete in Useful Family Goods ; and in order to make room for WINTER STOCK, TO ARRIVE, has been considerably reduced. Heads of families will find it to their advantage to call and inspect the stocks, which consists of Winceys, various colors Alpacas, Prints, Dress Pieces Women and Children’s Hose Straw Hats, Corsets And a very large variety of—• Ladies’ Waterproofs, Underclothing Calicos, bleached and unbleached Ribbons, Laces Black and White Brussels Net, Tulle, Tarlatan, and Grenadine Kid Gloves, white and colored Book Muslins, Cotton And every other line appertaining to this department. MEN’S AND BOYS’ CLOTHING DEPARTMENT. S. T. has paid particular care in the selection of goods to suit the district, and has considerably reduced Men’s and Boys’ Tweed Suits, Overcoats, and Waterproofs Boys’ Knickerbocker Suits Trowscrs and Vests Merino Shirts, and Pants Flannel Shirts, Socks, &c. Also, a Large Stock of Tweeds, Broadcloths, and a large and varied stock of Ready Made Clothing. THE GROCERY DEPARTMENT will be found equal to any store in the district, and every article of the best description. IRONMONGERY DEPARTMENT. S. T. has just added to his large and varied stock, a quantity of really good Fencing Wire and Staples Corrugated Iron Nails of all lengths and description Plough and Trace Chains, and General Builders’ Ironmongery, This Department will in future always be found replete with every article suitable to the demand of this rising and populous district. A Large Assortment of GLASS and CROCKERYWARE, of newest patterns, in stock. WINE AND SPIRIT DEPARTMENT. This Department has lately been replenished with all kinds of Wines and Spirits of the best brands procurable, and all orders entrusted to my care will receive prompt attention, careful packing, and liberal terms. RYE GRASS ! RYE GRASS ! ! A shipment of Canterbury Rye Grass Seed has been secured through the most competent judges. Also, A large quantity of this season’s CANTERBURY FLOUR, Which is daily expected to arrive. Orders called for and delivered free of charge to Kakaramea Block on Mondays, and to Whenuakura on Tuesdays, S. TAPL IN, Wholesale and Retail Storekeeper, and Wine and Spirit Merchant, PATEA STORE, CARLYLE.
