It Avas a'ncAV movement, uoav Avorks, and his oavu invention. He perfected and set it a going. He imagined that bis soul bad passed from bis body into that Avatcb, and said ; u When the Avatch .stops I shall die.” It had been running a long time, and Steibmann Avas very particular about Avituiing it regularly. The idea that his had become subordinated to tho Avatch greAv stronger. One day lately the Avatch sboAved signs of irregularity. It ran first too fast and then too slow. Steibmann became very ill. He did not send for a doctor, but for a Avatchmakcr, to see AAdiat could be done for the avatcb. The Avatclimaker kncAV nothing about that particular avatcb, and could not prescribe for it. The avatcb stopped and sure enough Steibmaim avas dead.
