STAFF APPOINTMENTS. WELLINGTON, June 25. A gazette to-night announces the fol-s lowing staff appointments:— Colonel F. Symon to be officer com- — manding the Central Command and to. retain the appointment of director of artillery. Lieutenant-colonel (now colonel) J. E. Duigan to be officer commanding the Northern Command, and Lieutenantcolonel S. C. P. Nicholls to be officer commanding the Southern Command.
