LOST LETTERS.
You will find the following a very interesting game to play indoors:— Cut strips of paper two or three inches broad, and print the same sentence upon each in capital letters, being careful that all the letters are exactly the same size. Any sentence taken from a newspaper will do, provided that the words are fairly easy to spell. Now cut out a letter here and there—sometimes a consonant, sometimes a vowel. Do not cut right across the strips, but leave them so that the remaining letters are joined to each other, with gaps where the other letters are missing. . The same letters should be cut from each strip. Jumble the odd letters together in a heap oy the centre of the table, then hand one of the strips to each player and ask them to fill in the lost letters. Each picks out one letter-at a time from the heap on the table and tries to fit it in; and the player who succeeds in completing the sentence first is the winner of the game.
