No. 12. - “ I will tell you the wish we . am granted,” explained Golly to the xyitch. “ Some you cast a spell over a certain Princess, and forced her to roam about—a hunted animal. The Prince who was to "have married her is very sad. No one can do anything. Will you break the spell and restore the Princess to her family and the Prince? Remember we saved vou from having a wash!” , “ I believe it can be done,” said the witch. “Go give the news to the King, with my compliments." She lifted up her hand and the Chums felt, themselves rushing through the air. -• Before they had time to think they landed in the private parlour of the King" and Queen of the Moon. It was a most gorgeous room, decorated in gold and silver, satin and silk. “ What’s the meaning of this?” demanded the King, whose afternoon nap had been' interrupted. The Chums bowed low before the King. “ The Princess is to be restored to you, with the witch’s compliments!” gasped Teddy. “ Hurrah!” shouted the King. “ Now she can marry the son of my friend, the King of Mars, and there will be no more war between the two peoples!" He rang for his messengers, and before long the good news was being told throughout the land. A few minutes later the Princess, newly restored, arrived in a golden carriage, and when the Prince came rushing in, what a scene there was, while music and feasting followed with the Chums as the guests of honour! (To be Concluded.)
