A MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR WAITRESS'S STRANGE EXPERIENCE. WHANGAREI, June 26. Kathleen Te Popo, aged about 24, a waitress employed in a Whangarei restaurant,’was discovered at 7 o’clock this morning lying dazed and bound and gagged in the alcove of a draper’s shop in Bank street. She had supper with friends at the restaurant last night, and it is understood she attended a dance at Hukerenui, 20 miles distant. It is stated that the victim conversed with a friend at, 6 o’clock this morning six chains from where she was found.
