An old Maori canoe, which was dug out of a mud-bank at Turiroa, and which is considered to be of unusual historical value, has been offered to the Wairoa Harbour Board by the finder Mr W. Clark, The opinion was expressed by Mr J. Corkill, at a meeting of the board (says the Napier Telegraph) that the offer should be accepted and the canoe repaired and put on view.
