CLYDESDALE HORSE SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING. PALMERSTON N., June IC. The annual meeting of the Clydesdale Horse Society of New Zealand was held to-day. The annual report stated that the demand for horses was very active, and prices for good sorts were still remunerative The membership now stood at 750. Hie following members retiring from the council were re-elected unopposed:— Messrs J. Knight (Feilding), R. Knight (Longburn), E. Washer (Okaiawa), H. Wilson (Bulls), A. Thomson (Kelso). R. Kennedy (Drummond), D. Wright (Winslow), and W. Doak (Ashburton). Mr Thomson was elected president, and the following vice-presidents were elected:—• Messrs J. Wyllie and A. Grant (South Island). M. Wallace and A. Hunter (North Island).
