BOYS AND GIRLS’ AGRICULTURAL CLUBS.

1930-31 CALF-REARING COMPETITION—OTAGO ASSOCIATION'S RESULTS. The results of the judging of the Otago Boys’ and Girls’ Agricultural Association’s 1930-31 calf-rearing competition are now available and the detailed awards made by the judges are given in the tables printed below. The entries were exceptionally satisfactory considering the recent establishment of the movement, and the quality of the work done by members of the various clubs is deserving of high praise. Two championships were awarded this season. One for the large breeds, Friesian and Shorthorn, was won by Brian Neale, of the Papakaio School with a Friesian calf, and the other went to Iris Ashworth, of the Galloway School, whose breed was the Ayrshire. A special award for most points in record-keeping went to Marjorie Bell, of the Cromwell School. The group winners are as follows, particulars of marks being given as well as the breed of the calf reared (maximum marks 100): —
