At the Magistrate’s Court at Timaru on Thursday last, John William Roundhill, poultry farmer, of Fairlie, was committed for trial on a charge of having sent a threatening letter to John Kennedy, chairman of the South Canterbury Power Board. The offending words were : “We pledge ourselves to see that you both are removed out of harm’s way, either by knife or Mexican medicine.”
