DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club was held on Thursday, when there were Present: Messrs Hazlett (chair), Coughlan, J. Smith, Irwin, Ainge, A. N. Smith, Fisher, Cook, Dr Batchelor, and Dr Ross. Apologies were received from Messrs Hanlon and Lough. . A statement of the recent winter meeting, showing a small profit, was read by the secretary and approved. The gate inspector’s report and the stipendiary steward’s report were approved.
It was decided to hold the annual meeting on July 30. It. was resolved that notice of motion be given at the annual meeting to delete
the entrance fee payable by new members. A ballot to decide the steward to retire with the 1931 list of retiring stewards resulted in Dr Ross’s name being drawn. It was resolved to hold a special meett° consider remits to conference. lhe following applications for licenses were recommended:—Trainers: A. J Cassells, J. J. Cotter. J. Crawford, jun, J. J.
