SUPREME COURT
PRISONERS SENTENCED. HAMILTON, June 12. The following prisoners were sentenced in the Supreme Court to-day:—Archibald Westlake, aged 41, breaking, entering, and theft at Alotumaoho, two years’ hard labour; Matthew Joseph Spellars, aged 25, theft of partnership moneys at Te Kuiti, 12 months; Donald APAlillan, aged 19, breaking, entering, and theft, three years’ detention in the Borstal Institute. M’Millan, who pleaded guilty to the offence in the Alagistrate’s Court yesterday, broke into a drapery establishment in Hamilton on Alay 31, stealing men’s clothing valued at £l6 4s Bd. A piece of wire was used to push the key out of the lock. Prisoner’s record disclosed a previous offence of a similar nature. GREYMOUTH. June 12. In the Supreme Court, Henry Edward Greenway, for assault causing grevious bodily harm, was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment.
