PRODUCE MARKETS.

CHRISTCHURCH, June 12. The market for all classes of produce is very quiet. Potatoes have not yet ceased to slip in price. Whites have actually been sold at 32s Gd per ton on trucks for prompt delivery, the f.0.b., s.i. price being £2 10s to £2 12e 6d. Under the influence of the cheap rates for whites Dakotas are very difficult to quit, and a sale was made to-day at £1 7s 6d per ton on trucks. The North Island is not yet making any inquiry. Traders apparently are confident that sufficient pota-

toes will go north on consignment to meet all needs. . Both milling and fowl wheat is inclined to be easier. Millers are buying very little milling wheat. There is no movement in either the oats or chaff market, and the demand for seeds is lifeless.
