In a letter just received by Mr R. Leslie Jones, of Lyall Bay, Wellington, from Mr Amando Cespedes Marin, operator of . the famous short-wave station NRH, situate, in Heredia, Costa Rica, Central America, he stated that he would broadcast a special programme for New Zealand during the present week. The transmissions will be heard in New Zealand from about midnight for one hour, j. and at the same time each day during the week. NRH transmits on 30.5 metres, with a power of only 74 watts, and usually signs off in Morse code. Short-wave listeners in New Zealand should hear the transmissions if the conditions are favourable.
