Tait. f “Old Time Housekeeper” wishes to know where she can obtain wicks for a No. 2 Miller lamp. Perhaps someone in the handcraft section of rural women’s organisations may be able to make some. If such were the case, “ Old Time Housekeeper ” would be glad to give whatever price would be thought suitable. If any reader has a hint or recipfi specially suitable for the country, it might be printed in this column. ** . * TO WHOM HONOUR IS DUE. THE LATE MR D. CLARK, TOTARA. Only those who knew Mr Clark best w ill know how much he will be missed. He supported everything that was for the good of the country, and -when Mr R. B. Meek brought before the notice of the North Otago Farmers’ Union the very great advantages that would follow' from the formation of the Women’s Division in the district, Mr Clark was one of his warmest supporters. He w'as indeed a “ country gentleman ” in every sense of the term. Such a life as his should be. an incentive to others. He IKed out in his public and private life the ideal of our country women’s or"anisations: ° Have you had a kindness shown Pass it on. ’Twas not given for you alone. Pass it on. Let it travel down the years, Let it wipe another’s tears Till in heaven its fruit appears. Pass it on ! W e wish to extend .our deepest svmpathy to his family and relatives.
